JOHN K. CASTLE, Chairman, served as Chairman of the Board of New York Medical College for eleven years, and has been a board member there for more than 20 years. His extensive involvement in health care also includes five years as a public commissioner on the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and service as a Trustee of five hospitals in the New York metro area.
In addition to his health care activities, Mr. Castle has served on many voluntary boards including the Corporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is currently Chairman of a leading merchant bank, and has been Chief Executive of a major investment bank. He holds a B.S. from M.I.T., an MBA with high distinction from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and an honorary Doctorate from New York Medical College.
JOHN J. CONNOLLY, Ed.D., served as President of New York Medical College for over ten years before becoming President and CEO of both Castle Connolly Graduate Medical Publishing, Ltd. and Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd., publisher of best-selling consumer healthcare guides.
Dr. Connolly is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, a fellow of the New York Academy of Science, Director of the New York Business Group on Health, member of the President's Advisory Council of the United Hospital Fund, and Director of the Mental Health Association of Westchester County. Dr. Connolly is a director, Founder, and past Chairman of the Board of the American Lyme Disease Foundation and has served as Trustee of two hospitals and Chairman of the Board of one of those. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.
MICHAEL D. WOLF, Ph.D., Executive Vice President, has been responsible for daily operation of the company since its formation in late 1998. Beginning with Pediatrics and Psychiatry board review manuals in 1999, Dr. Wolf has built the CCGMP library to include comprehensive board reviews in 15 medical specialties which have been used by over 120,000 residents and fellows, 80,000 practicing physicians, and 35,000 PharmDs. He manages over 500 physician authors in the continual process of keeping medical content up to date.
A nationally known lecturer, medical and health writer, and editor, Dr. Wolf is the author of six books that have sold over 200,000 copies. He has been a guest on over 20 national TV shows, including NBC's TODAY Show and ABC's Good Morning America, and was a Contributing Editor at SELF Magazine for ten years.
Dr. Wolf holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Psychology, and Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Austin, the first one granted in that combination of disciplines. Before entering the business world, he was an Assistant Professor on the graduate faculty of New York University.
